What I collect

When you take the free check, your answers and scores are saved to allow you to return to your results and complete your purchase at any time. Your results are accessible only via your unique results link — I don't create an account or ask for your email until you purchase.

If you purchase the Fix Plan, I collect your email address. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe — I never see, receive, or store your payment details.

How I use it

Your email is used to send your access link and any transactional emails directly related to your purchase. I do not send marketing emails without your explicit consent.

Your assessment answers are used solely to generate your personalised results. I may use aggregated, anonymised score data to improve the product — never individual data linked to you.

What I don't do

• I don't sell your data to third parties.
• I don't share your data with advertisers.
• I don't add you to any list without consent.

How long I keep it

Different information is kept for different periods, because different obligations apply to each:

• The free check data (no purchase): if you take the assessment but don't buy the Fix Plan, your assessment answers and session data are deleted within 30 days.
• Your email and personalised results: kept while your purchase is active and for up to 18 months afterward, for support and record-keeping. After that I anonymise them: your email is removed, and only non-identifying score data may remain.
• Payment and transaction records: retained for 7 years, as required by Malaysian tax and accounting law. These records hold amounts, dates, and payment references — not your card details — and are also held by Stripe. Once your email is anonymised, they are no longer linked to you by name.
• Anonymised, aggregated score data: may be kept indefinitely to improve the product, as it can no longer identify you.

Third-party services

I use Stripe for payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data I hold about you. Email me at founder@skipthehardway.com and I'll action your request within 14 days. Where I'm legally required to keep certain records — for example, transaction records for tax purposes — I'll remove the details that identify you rather than delete the underlying record. In the unlikely event of a data breach affecting your information, I will notify you within 72 hours.

Legal basis for processing

I process your data on the basis that it is necessary to perform the service you purchased, and to meet my legal record-keeping obligations. Where I use your data for product improvement, I do so on the basis of legitimate interest, using only anonymised and aggregated information.
